As a nonprofit organization, Open Heart Doula is dependent on the generosity of donors to sustain our mission and, in particular, to continue to expand our services to Knoxville’s most vulnerable women. There is an incredible need in our city, and our work directly helps to make an impact on negative birth outcomes and the mother and baby’s wellbeing during and after birth, to influence change in the abortion statistics in Knoxville by providing support for women that need a knowledgeable friend and experienced mother to walk alongside them, and to reduce the occurrence of Postpartum Depression through education and early intervention.
